This weekend I finished reading All Fall Down by Ally Carter. I am a big fan of her books and this one did not disappoint! Imagine an island where there are embassies beside one another on one street. Embassy Row. Grace reluctantly returns here to her grandfather's care after her mother is murdered. She faces the stigma of being depressed, institutionalized and generally "crazy" BUT she will not let this interfere with her investigation to find her mother's killer! If you like mysteries and suspense, this is a great book for you!

One of my favorite authors released the sequel to her book, I'll Be There, this summer! This is a great story of friendship, family, love and protection. Holly Goldberg Sloan is a talented author and I wish I could sit down and have coffee with each of the characters in her novels. Check them out - both great reads! I know it's been a long time since I have blogged. We have been busy here in the library with classes, teachers, and helping set up our Rachel's Challenge Event! At home, I have been reading After Iris at home. This book has been recommended to me by a few ladies at the Blue Willow Bookshop. I have really enjoyed it and hope to finish it this weekend! Blue is a young girl who lives in London with a quirky older sister and two younger siblings. She is struggling because her twin Iris passed away three years ago and since then she has felt invisible. It feels like her family is falling apart and that her older sister is invading her life. Even though I haven't finished reading this book, I would highly recommend it. It's a great story of hope and family. Jennifer at Blue Willow recommended this book to me. I was a bit doubtful at first, but I was so wrong! She hooked me by saying, "Text me when you get to page 128. You won't believe what happens!" She was right! This beautiful novel tells the story of two different boys: Little Hawk and John Wakeley. Their lives become intertwined even though they live in two very different communities as the Pilgrims settle Native American land. Even if you are not a historical fiction fan, you will enjoy this book because it really talks about life. Five out of five stars! Book Cover for Ghost Hawk. Digital image.
